After 10 months of testing, Microsoft has now released their new software, Sway. Sway is for people that enjoys putting together a presentation with Powerpoint. Sway is designed to make the presentation come together better than Powerpoint. Sway will turn a boring school presentation into something visually appealing.
Sway is a digital storytelling program, and it is available for free on Windows 10 to anyone with a free Microsoft account and to Office 365 for business and education customers.
Sway unlike previous presentation tools Haiku, Prezi and Microsoft Powerpoint allows for YouTube videos, photos, tweet and different media content. Users can select photos, videos from their smartphone or social networks and add it on Sway.
You can arrange all the photos, change the layout after dropping your content into the Sway platform, and users of mobile phones, tablet devices can view your presentation with the app or via the cloud, allowing for collaboration between team members.
Though it works on the cloud, but you can retrieve files that can be used offline, in the case of bad internet at the presentation area.
According to Microsoft, Sway was a tool to compliment Powerpoint and not replace it.
