The Indonesian lady, Ela Herawati has reunited with her 5-year-old daughter, Cecilia. The mother was all in a mixed joy after police intervened in the 3-weeks abduction of Cecilia by her American father, Karl Werner.
The Ela Herawati case had gained a lot of media attention, and some letters between both Indonesian and US embassies in Vietnam over the abduction, also a lot of people within the few weeks believed that the police were not taking action on the issue.

But yesterday evening, 9th of August, police in Bac Lieu caught up with Karl Werner, the lady helping him and the 5-year-old girl, Cecilia at Tran Vinh Hotel.
Cecilia, a girl that spent most of her years living in Indonesia and with her mother, Ela Herawati, had to go through 3-weeks abduction of separating from her, and with her father who had only abducted her for reasons best known to him.
Werner had claimed that Cecilia had drawn pictures of the new man Ela married, portraying him as a wicked and devilish person.
The police had detained Werner, and he is undergoing questioning about the abduction of the girl, while the little girl is now with her mother, Ela Herawati.
Just like many expats said, it is a happy ending....
