Aaron Hernandez Found Dead In His Cell, Authorities Says It's Suicide

Former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez has been found hanged in his prison cell Wednesday morning, according to officials. Aaron was found at around 3.05am by correctional officers at the  Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, where he has been serving time after he was convicted of murder.

           

He had opened the bible verse, John 3:16 in his side, and has also used a red marker to write same verse on his forehead. The former player had committed the suicide using his bedsheet hanging on to his window. He also blocked his cell door with several items that will prevent anyone from entering his cell.

When officials were able to entr his cell, they tried  to help with life-saving techniques, before taking him to the UMass Leominster, where he was pronouced dead at 4:07am. 

Hernandez was sentenced to life in prison for the killing of Odin Lloyd in 2013 after it was reported that Lloyd has spilled drinks on him. He was acquitted of the murder charges on Friday.
